Pat Robertson is a Terrorist...?

Pat Robertson is a Terrorist…?

Pat Robertson made some ridiculous statements yesterday that have incited Venezuelan leaders to rant about the US and religious extremism.

Pat Robertson comments on Monday about Hugo Chavez,

“We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability, we don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with."

Vice President Jose Vicente Rangel had this to say about the US and Robertson comments,

“It's huge hypocrisy to maintain this discourse against terrorism and at the same time, in the heart of that country, there are entirely terrorist statements like those.”

"I didn't say 'assassination,'" clarified Robertson during a broadcast of his "The 700 Club" Wednesday morning. "I said our special forces should go 'take him out,' and 'take him out' could be a number of things, including kidnapping."

He blamed The Associated Press for making him seem to advocate the assassination of a foreign leader.

"There are a number of ways to take out a dictator from power besides killing him," Robertson said. "I was misinterpreted by the AP, but that happens all the time."

However, during the original "700 Club" broadcast Monday night, Robertson clearly mentioned assassination.

"You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we are trying to assassinate him, we should go ahead and do it," Robertson said Monday."

Spin it Pat! Never admit to your mistakes and never apologize. Hey why not, it’s the Neo-Christian way!
