My Letter To Senator Gil Cedillo

As a citizen of California and the United States of America I insist that you support the will of the American public. I insist that you scrap SB 591 (the car impound amendment for undocumented immigrants driving without a licence). Your bill proposal is discriminatory, illogical, irrational, and most importantly, not the will of Californian citizens.

As a representative of the American public, subject to the will of American citizens, it is required that you uphold the public office given you for the purpose of representing Americans.

Just as California senators are not authorized to act outside of the interests of American citizens, segments of society (legal citizens or otherwise) should not be authorized to act above the law.

I require your immediate action, and in the interest of accountability, a written response.
